METRO PANTOGRAPH ABRASIVE BLAST CLEANING AND METRO PANTOGRAPH PAINTING

The pantographs of the SBL-Metro Line are single arm pantographs with an air bellow suspension system integrated into the base frame of the pantograph. The design of this drive system guaranties minimal height, compactness and minimal weight. In addition, special attention was given to minimizing maintenance and maximizing operational safety in the design of the entire pantograph. Essential components were designed in Reliance upon our experience in the area of high speed applications. The pantographs of the SBL-Line are well suited for metro vehicles with a sufficient supply of compressed air.

Mumbai Metro Requirement :-

• Removal of rust, scale, sand
• Removal of paint
• Removal of burrs
• Abrasive blasting but not more rugged surfaces should be ruff in 30 micron
• Blasting and Painting should be do  by the customer requirement and specification
• Painting require  DFT minimum is 180 to 200 microns

 Corrective Action :- Abrasive blasting cleaning, is a surface treatment process widely used in a variety of different industries with many diverse purposes. Abrasive blasting is the process by which an abrasive media is accelerated through a blasting nozzle by means of compressed air

Result : –

• Removed  of rust, scale, sand

• Blasting as per done by the customer requirement and specification
• Painting done by as per customer specification
